According to Deadline, Jost will pen an upcoming untitled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie for Paramount Pictures. Michael Bay will be producing the film again, as he was on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and the sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows (2016).

Although it seems that the upcoming film will be similar to the live-action film franchise, it is not confirmed.

Paramount is working on several TMNT projects, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. Earlier this year, the studio announced that Seth Rogen would produce a CG animated reboot slated to be released in 2023.

The reboot series will focus on the teenage elements of the four Ninja Turtle brothers and serve as a “jumping-off point.” Rogen tweeted a page of notes that he had written in preparation for the series.

Paramount appears to see value in its Turtles story about four turtles that become mutants after spraying with ooze. The rat-turned-teacher teaches them ninjutsu.

There’s even a new video game coming out called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. All in all, it was a good few years for mutant turtle fans.
