DON’T BREAK THE ICE Game

DON’T BREAK THE ICE Game

You can play Don’t Break the Ice as a board game for children. The objective of the game is to become the last player standing and not drop the animal.

DON’T BREAK THE ICE Game Setup

To allow players to place the ice blocks in the tray, the tray should be placed upside-down. Although the large ice block may be placed wherever you like, it is best to place it centrally for the first game. You can press the remaining blocks tightly together around it so that they don’t move when you turn the tray over. Place the plastic animal on top of the large block of ice.

Randomly, the first player is selected. From them, play proceeds clockwise. Each player will pick an ice block and take out a hammer. The players must hit the ice block until the tray is empty and it falls below the board. Players must be careful not to hit the large block, or to place the block in a way that it falls.

A player cannot choose another ice block after they have made their decision. They must keep going until the chosen clock falls.

Once the large block and animal are removed from the tray beneath the board, the game/round is over.

This ends a game with one or two players. If there are more players, the board will be reset and the player who knocked out the animal is removed from the game. Rounds continue until one player remains.

END OF GAME

The game ends when the animal is removed from the board, or when there are only two players left. The goal of a game with just one player is to keep the animal from falling for as long as possible. If you play with two players, the player who does not knock the animal off the board wins. If there are more than two players, the winner is that player who doesn’t get eliminated.
