For obvious reasons, some subtle nods need to be more subtle, but the DLC adds enough interesting content to Destiny 2’s current meta experience that it changes up. There remains something for each fan to take from their favorite games in the expansion as they bring down the new hilariously-named bosses, no matter which Bungie title players are the most fondest of.
Doom Eternal: the Ancient Gods Part 2
There has a saying that all good things must draw to an end, and Doom Eternal: the Ancient Gods Part 2 functions as the climactic finale to the Doom Slayer’s story, effectively placing an end to the player’s fight against the Dark Lord. The DLC adds the standard Doomfare of unique items and enemies for players to use to try their new weapons, including the powerful Sentinel Hammer. However, the most intriguing part of the DLC to many may be how the war between Heaven and Hell finally falls to an end at the Doom Slayer’s hands. The ending of that id Software made since the series arrived back in 2016 is naturally climactic, and some players may not explain the sharper meanings of Doom Eternal’s ending at first. The final DLC expansion for the title, on the other hand, is a fantastic job at ensuring that plenty of fans are content until the franchise could return.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise
Like how Super Smash Bros. worked. Ultimate arrived to an end in 2021 with its content updates, as was Animal Crossing: New Horizons, with its 2.0 update released late in the year. Fans, on the other hand, were not left without content to enjoy, as the 2.0 update also included the addition of Happy Home Paradise, Animal Crossing’s first DLC expansion. Final Fantasy 14 Online: Endwalker
The Endwalker expansion is finally in the hands of fans, as one of the most awaited releases of 2021. On top of tons of other fresh content, the critically lauded MMO brings two new classes, Sage and Reaper, as well as male Vieras. The expansion continues the story that many fans have grown attached to, and Endwalker prepares challenging extra dungeons and quests for players who have so far tested their skills.

Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island
The Ghost of Tsushima gains fresh life with the Iki Island expansion, which aims to flesh out the story of Jin Sakai, the samurai many fans have grown to know over the last few years, which was voted the Players’ Choice at the Game Awards in 2020. Players beat up enemies and find haikus in brand unique Ghost of Tsushima locations across a sprawling landscape as fans learn the story of Jin’s past, dealing with his father’s profession and death.
