Amazon Studios’ much-anticipated The Lord of the Rings series has finally wrapped up filming. Amazon has released a new set photo from New Zealand to announce this news.

The series, set to be titled The Lord of the Rings, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2022. New episodes will drop every week. The series is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth’s history, many thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books. Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series has an ensemble cast that includes Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Robert Aramayo and Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, and Nazanin Bioniadi, Owain Baldry, Maxim Baldry, Owain Baldry, Nazanin Baldry, Maxim Baldry.

Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios, said that the journey began September 2, 2022, with our original The Lord of the Rings series’s premiere on Prime Video. We are all so excited to share this epic new journey through Middle-earth with our global audience. This vision has been brought to life by our talented producers, cast, creative and production teams in New Zealand.

J.D. Patrick McKay and Payne serve as executive producers and showrunners for the Lord of the Rings series. McKay and Payne said that “As Bilbo states, ‘Now, I think I’m quite ready to embark on another journey.'” Living and breathing Middle-earth for so many months has been an adventure of a lifetime. Fans will have the opportunity to experience this adventure as well.
